We rely on volunteers to help us with casual labour! Habitat restoration projects require a lot of planting to restore vegetation zones, and sometimes we need general help carrying things, pulling out invasive plants, or joining us for safety purposes in remote locations. You’re guaranteed to get wet, get dirty, learn something new, and have a lot of fun!
Although a lot of our volunteer work is seasonal and casual, we also need committed volunteers to help maintain frogs in captivity at the Greater Vancouver Zoo. These volunteers work on a schedule with husbandry specialists to help feed, clean and monitor captive frogs.
We’ll also sometimes look for committed volunteers to help with research programs, in which we train volunteers in research methods and wildlife handling techniques.
