The Oregon Spotted Frog Recovery Team will be holding four sessions of their annual spring amphibian identification training in Agassiz March 2020:

Monday, March 9:  9 am – 12 pm OR 1 pm – 4 pm

Wednesday, March 11: 9 am – 12 pm OR 1 pm – 4 pm

The sessions will cover the same material, just at different times. Participants will have the opportunity to learn:

  • Amphibian egg mass identification and survey strategies
  • Oregon Spotted Frog and Red-legged Frog habitat preferences
  • Hands-on Red-legged Frog and Oregon Spotted Frog differentiation

These training sessions are intended for people who are likely to come into contact with frogs, including ditch maintenance crews and surveyors, as well as other environmental staff or contractors. All those interested in this opportunity are welcome to join, however, space on-site is limited.

We will meet in the parking lot of the District of Kent Municipal Hall, (7170 Cheam Avenue, Agassiz) and convoy to the site. You can expect to be back at the Municipal Hall by the listed end time.
